Barcelona star Messi indirectly sends message to Barca coach Koeman; Turn Barca into more competitive team

The Argentinian cannot say anything about the new coach until the results arrive.

Leo can only guarantee he is going to give his best for the Catalan club.

"I said it at the time that we were not given the support to win the Champions League. Actually, now I don't know what will happen.

There is a new coach and new ideas," Leo Messi told Goal on his future at Barcelona.

"That's good, but then we have to see how the team responds and whether or not it will compete at the top level. What I can say is that I'm staying and I'm going to give my best for Barcelona."

In the same interview, the Argentine hit out at the board for lacking a winning project which resulted in the consecutive defeats in the Champions League.

The captain made it clear his side are no longer able to compete at the biggest stage possible.
