Chelsea boss Lampard reveals he his happy to have 'good problem' of choosing between 3 great strikers

Lampard points out that Timo Werner, Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud all give him different options.

"It’s a good problem, I’m delighted for both strikers today," Frank Lampard told the Blues' official website of his strike choice at the moment.

"Tammy’s work rate and quality, his goal and his assists were brilliant. He hasn’t had too many games in this period, pre-season-wise, so it’s good for him to get those minutes under his belt.

"Oli, similar in terms of impact when he came one. He could have had a couple of assists and goals.

And then having Timo gives me options with different attributes to each other. All competitive in a good way but different options, for sure."

Both Abraham and Giroud performed well in a 6-0 win over Barnsley in the Carabao Cup third-round tie at Stamford Bridge.

Tammy scored the opener, helped Kai Havertz get his debut goal for Chelsea with a smart dummy and provided assists for the German's two efforts later on.

Oli took the pitch 7 minutes before the final whistle but showed his best qualities, scoring a goal after a brilliant cross from Ben Chilwell and nearly setting up another one - but Ross Barkley missed a sitter.
