Chelsea star Ethan Ampadu shares expectations for Sheffield after loan deal
Ethan Ampadu claims he's feeling good and feeling fit ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.
"I'm excited for it," Ethan Ampadu told Sheffield United's official website after it was confirmed that he joined the club on a season-long loan.
"A lot of people have told me a lot of great things about this place and when I first got here, you can see it's a nice stadium.
"I had a few very good positive chats with Chris Wilder and about this place. A lot of people have said a lot of good things about him and that came across when I spoke to him myself.
"The unique style, it's also got a very good feel around the place. Whether it's the stadium or the training ground, it almost feels like a family. It's definitely one of the things that attracted me here.
"Hopefully I can bring my quality. I like to think I can do that. Hopefully, I can bring some of the stuff I've learned from other places and try to get the winning mentality as well.
I've had a good pre-season. I've come off two Wales games. I'm feeling good and feeling fit."
The upcoming season is going to be extremely important for Ampadu as he did not have a great campaign last term, making just 7 appearances during his loan spell with RB Leipzig due to a back injury.
Although the 19-year-old is capable of playing as a centre-back and regularly features as a defender for Wales, he is expected to take on the role of a defensive midfielder at Sheffield.
