Eric Garcia confirms that he doesn't plan to continue at Manchester City

Eric Garcia confirms that he doesn't plan to continue at Man City, However, he has ignored the rumours about his potential return to Barca.

The Catalans want to sign the defender but might lack the funds.

"It's true that I told the club I wouldn't renew my contract beyond next year but I do have that year on my deal. So, for now, I'm focused on next season when I return from the international break," Manchester City's Eric Garcia has told the media when asked about his future.

However, the 19-year-old refused to comment on the rumours linking him with a return to Barcelona.

"My objective is to train, play and show that the coach can confide in me in Manchester and for Spain. Things away from the pitch I can't control and that's why I don't worry about it."

It's said that the Catalans want to bring back their academy graduate as they see him as a future replacement for Gerard Pique. However, because of Man City's high asking price, Blaugrana consider landing the defender for free next summer.

Last term, Garcia recorded 20 matches for City, providing one assist. The La Masia graduate joined the Premier League side back in 2017.
