Fiorentina emerge as favorite to land Arsenal midfielder Torreira

Fiorentina are set to complete the signing of Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira.

Italian media sources report Arsenal have agreed a deal for Torreira to join Fiorentina.

The Gunners' confirmation of Dani Ceballos' re-signing - will trigger Torreira's exit.

Arsenal will allow the Uruguay international to join the Florence-based club on a loan deal - for a fee of £8m - before an obligation to purchase him next summer for £16m.

Torreira signed for the Gunners back in 2018 from Sampdoria, and despite a strong start at the Emirates Stadium, has struggled for regular first-team football over the last few years.
