Georginio Wijnaldum has responded to Barcelona transfer speculation

Ronald Koeman reportedly wants Wijnaldum at Camp Nou in this transfer window and the Dutchman will be out of contract at Liverpool next year.

The 29-year-old has refused to discuss his move to Barca as it's just a 'rumour'.

"Whether or not I like Barca? It's a rumour," Georginio Wijnaldum said on Thursday, as quoted by Radio 1. "It's the only thing I can say about it."

Ronald Koeman is believed to have identified the Liverpool midfielder among his priority targets for this transfer window.

The 29-year-old's current deal at Anfield expires next summer. The Dutchman reportedly has no intention of extending his stay at Anfield.

On the contrary, Wijnaldum has already agreed a 3-year deal with the Catalans, as per Dutch media.

What's more, the midfielder's medicals at Camp Nou could take place as soon as next week.
