Hazard set to make return to Real Madrid first-team training after recovering from ankle injury

L’Equipe journalist Frederic Hermel says the Belgian’s recent troubles with his ankle is said to have been related to collateral pains.

He insists that Zidane must be patient with Hazard returning back to full fitness.

Speaking on Eden Hazard’s current state after missing Real Madrid’s La Liga opener against Real Sociedad, reliable L’Equipe journalist Frederic Hermel said: “The news from Hazard is rather reassuring.

“The titanium plate that was inserted into his ankle in February no longer causes him pain. The pain felt during the last weeks was mainly related to collateral pains. They are getting better.

“Hazard should be able to return to group training soon. There are many expectations, at the level of the leaders, supporters and even the Spanish press, but Zidane wants to be patient and Eden Hazard is much less pessimistic than a few weeks ago.”

Belgium boss Roberto Martinez gave a scary update about Hazard’s ankle troubles a few weeks ago, indicating that he’ll need treatment on it before and after every game.

But the winger seems to be getting better with each passing day and is currently training in the gym, as we hope he become available for Zinedine Zidane soon.
