‘He’s amazing but I didn't play much under him’: James speaks of his relationship with Zidane at Madrid

The Colombian midfielder still has a lot of respect for Zizou.

James believes it was understandable for Zidane to pick players who’ve won titles under him over him at Madrid.

Speaking about his experience under Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid, James Rodriguez said: “Experience with Zidane?

“He’s amazing but I didn't play much under him because when you win titles with certain players, you trust them, right? It’s understandable.”

That was a classy reply from James, who still has a huge amount of respect for Zizou and the club both after sealing his move to Everton.

The Colombian has had a great start to life in the Premier League already and scored his first goal in Everton’s win over West Bromwich Albion last weekend.

At least James has had the decency not to criticize or disrespect the club like Gareth Bale’s agent, which itself proves how much of an amazing professional he really is.
