'I will have conversations with all the goalkeepers': Chelsea boss Lampard refuse to comment on possible loan deal for Kepa

Lampard says there's no clarity right now about a potential loan deal for Kepa.

He will hold talks with all 3 keepers and be blunt about his plans for them in the team.

After that, the club will decide how to move forward.

When asked about a loan deal for Kepa Arrizabalaga, Frank Lampard told the media (via Goal): “There’s no clarity on that one yet about what will happen and I’m not going to speak about the maybes or what might happen in the future.

“I think the most important thing now is the game this weekend, which Mendy won’t be involved in. I will have conversations with all the goalkeepers and be very open about it and we’ll see the way to move forward.”

Chelsea signed Edouard Mendy from Rennes a few days ago and while the goalkeeper will not be starting against West Brom today, he seems likely to be the first choice goalkeeper soon.

Kepa has been rumoured to go out on loan with Valencia emerging as a potential suitor. However, no reports of the same have come out in the last few weeks - the window closes on October 5 so we will have to wait and see how this situation develops.
