'I'm so impressed with how he manages that squad': Carragher praise Arteta effort at Arsenal

The former Liverpool man is convinced Klopp's side would run into plenty of trouble from a new-look Arsenal - all thanks to Mikel Arteta.

"There's no doubt Arsenal are on the way back under Mikel Arteta. I think he's been a brilliant signing," Jamie Carragher told Sky Sports ahead of Monday's heavyweight clash.

"I'm so impressed with how he's managing that squad. I think we'd all say that squad still needs a lot more work doing to it to get back to the level Arsenal supporters want.

"But what he's done with the squad he's inherited is fantastic. To win the FA Cup, beat Liverpool a couple of times in the league and Community Shield, that's something Liverpool will want to put right.

"But it's a completely different proposition this Arsenal team coming to Anfield than it was last season when Unai Emery's Arsenal came very early in the season."

This is the part where Unai Emery actually runs into a rare praise from us: despite suffering a 3-1 defeat at Anfield, Gunners came there with a plan and were undone by a corner just before the break.

However, had Pepe and Aubameyang been more clinical during the first half, there's no telling how that game would have panned out.

There's also no denying Arsenal improved massively under Mikel Arteta and this goes for our defence first and foremost.

While the July encounter vs Liverpool was more of a lucky bounce, the Community Shield win was completely deserved.

Arsenal were solid at the back throughout, dangerous on the break and should have ended the contest before it went to penalties.

We are sure Liverpool are in for another stern test this Monday and their win, if it does happen, won't be straightforward.
