Koeman: Barcelona players are showing a lot of spirit, interest and intensity in training

Koeman is happy with what he has seen in the first two weeks at Barca.

The coach says the players have shown a lot of spirit, interest and intensity.

After focusing on the fitness side in the first weeks, Ronald will switch to teaching the squad his tactics.

"The players have been very positive. We're two weeks in and the players are working very well.

There is a good level of intensity in training, first of all with the fitness side in the opening weeks, and now with tactics," Ronald Koeman has told COPE.

"We have a phenomenal atmosphere in training, the young players have participated and have a lot of quality, and now we need to improve and increase our fitness.

"The players have also shown a lot of spirit, interest and intensity, and that is the most important thing because for me you have to train how you play."

Koeman will have the chance to debut as Barcelona's coach already this Saturday, September 12, as the Catalans play Gimnastic de Tarragona in the first friendly match of the pre-season. It's expected that the coach will use two different teams in the game.
