Manchester United has promoted Teden Mengi to first-team indefinitely ahead of season

Teden Mengi has been promoted into a member of Man United’s first-team squad for this season, as per Manchester Evening News.

The report suggests that the Red Devils are making their senior and junior sides train separately, with Mengi now a part of the first-team squad bubble.

The 18-year-old also received a new shirt number for the coming season, changing his no.71 shirt for a new no.43.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently drew up comparisons to Matthijs de Ligt when discussing Mengi's potential and clearly sees a bright future in the centre-back.
