Memphis Depay confirms Barcelona's interest in bringing him to camp nou

Depay is said to be Barca's main attacking target for this transfer window.

The Lyon forward is aware of the interest from the Catalans but remains coy on his future.

“We just have to see what will happen. I'll report to [Lyon] tomorrow and we'll see what happens," Memphis Depay told NOS of the rumours linking him with a move to Barcelona after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Italy with the Netherlands in the Nations League on Monday.

"I haven't heard much more from my agent. I know that there is interest, but I don't have much more to say because I don't know much about it."

Depay emerged as a target for the Catalans right after Ronald Koeman's appointment at Camp Nou last month.

Barca's new boss reportedly sees his fellow Dutchman as the no. 1 candidate to replace Luis Suarez who looks set to join Juventus in this transfer window.

The Blaugrana, however, are not the only club interested in the Lyon forward. According to Jean-Michael Aulas, the Ligue 1 side's president, AS Roma are in the race to sign Memphis as well.

As Depay is out of contract next summer, Lyon are said to be ready to offload him for €30m. Follow us on Google newsTwitter and on Facebook
