Messi, Griezmann and Coutinho all played from start against Girona, interchanging positions during the match.

Koeman praised Coutinho for his confidence, saying he has a lot of quality.

"Leo Messi, Antoine Griezmann and Philippe Coutinho can play anywhere in attack, which is good for the team," Ronald Koeman has told the media after the 3-1 win over Girona.

"Philippe is working really hard. He looks really confident. He's training and playing well. You have to remember he's got so much quality. Every player needs support and help from their coach."

Against Girona, Messi started in the 'false nine' role, Griezmann played as the attacking midfielder while Coutinho was placed on the left wing.

However, the players changed positions throughout the match, with Leo sometimes dropping deeper to get the ball, while Antoine would go higher up the pitch.

Coutinho scored Barca's first goal, and Messi got the other two.
