Official: Barcelona B right-back Morer joins Portuguese outfit Famalicao for ridiculous fee

Barcelona B right-back Dani Morer has signed for Portuguese outfit Famalicao, our official website have just confirmed.

The whole cost of the operation is set at just €400,000.

Yet, Barca are expected to receive 45 per cent from Morer's future sale.

Dani has signed a five-year deal which includes a €10m release clause with the Portuguese side which finished sixth in the Primeira last term.

The 22-year-old was often called up to train with the first team and was very close to making the senior squad in La Liga.

A misfortunate thigh injury prevented the promising right-back from entering the Champions League squad.

Morer spent 11 years at La Masia, winning the UEFA Youth League in 2018.

In the 2019/20 season, the 22-year-old appeared for Barca B on 24 occasions, scoring 2 goals and recording 4 assists..

Barca's decision to part ways with the promising full-back appears to be rather strange as there is no proper back-up for Nelson Semedo apart from versatile Sergi Roberto who feels more natural in the midfield.
