Sporting Lisbon have decided to rename their youth academy as the ‘Academia Cristiano Ronaldo’ as tribute to Cristiano Ronaldo.
They tweeted: “The name of the best player ever is now perpetuated at our Academy. Sporting's Academy is now called AcademiaCristianoRonaldo.”
Ronaldo spent 5 years in Sporting’s youth academy before being promoted in 2002, after which rest is history.
CR7 has scored 639 goals in his career, broken many records and had a memorable stint at Real Madrid.
