The 'Mes que una Mocio' platform has gathered over 20,000 signatures in the vote of no confidence against the president.
If the motion is successful, the club will hold elections in the next 3 months.
"I believe that Josep Maria Bartomeu will resign today," presidential candidate Jordi Farre has told Cadena SER.
Farre was one who started the vote of no confidence against the current president and his board. He was supported by presidential candidates Victor Font and Lluis Fernandez Ala, as well as several fan groups.
The 'Mes que una Mocio' platform has gathered 20, 721 signatures (club record), while the minimal requirement was 16,521 signatures.
Now, the club will look to validate the ballots and if the number of signatures stays above 16,521, Barcelona will hold a referendum to determine whether the club members want Bartomeu gone. If at least 10% of members take part in the voting and 2/3 are in favour. the president will be removed.
