Wolverhampton manager remains tight-lipped on Nelson Semedo transfer: “We had our targets identified and we have them,”

The Barcelona right-back is believed to be close to moving to Molineux in a €31.5m deal but Nuno Espirito Santo is coy on the subject.

“We had our targets identified and we have them,” Wolverhampton manager Nuno Espirito Santo replied when asked about Nelson Semedo's potential move to Molineux after his side's defeat at the hands of Man City on Monday.

“We are working on them. I'm sorry but I cannot go much further than this. Let’s wait for things to be clear.

“Until the transfer window is closed we must balance our squad.”

Earlier this week it was claimed that the Barcelona right-back passed his medical at Wolves on Monday evening and is set to complete his move to the Premier League side on Tuesday. The transfer is estimated at around €31.5m.

Sergino Dest, who is said to be Barca's main target to replace Semedo, meanwhile, is reportedly close to joining Bayern Munich. Hence, the Catalans could start the 2020/21 season without a single right-back in their squad.
