Arsenal has completed the signing of Ghanian international Thomas Partey from Athletico Madrid for 45m£.
Having activated the midfielder's release clause on the transfer deadline day both clubs reached an agreement that will see the midfielder move to England after the international break.
Following the completion of the deal, the Spanish club tweeted on its official Twitter page.

Partey has spent most of his career with Atlético, making over 150 competitive appearances. A full Ghana international since 2016, he represented the nation at two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.
Athletico Madrid signed Partey from a local club in Ghana Odometah in 2011 and was subsequently moved to the reserves a year later. On 10 March 2013, Thomas was called up to the main squad for the match against Real Sociedad.
Thomas partey is Arsenal 3rd signing of the season having signed Willian from Chelsea and Gabriel from Lille.
