Bale the only Madrid player who refused pay cut during summer

Reports have it that  Bale was the only Madrid player who refused pay cut proposed by most football clubs during the summer.

After speaking with his representatives, the winger made it clear to the side that he is not willing to give up his wages.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic which affected the economy of the world, some football clubs decided to take pay cuts to help the club cope Madrid players and staffs decided for a 10%  reduction to their wages but Bale was adamant.

Madrid players also forfeited the bonuses which accompanied winning the La Liga.
