Barcelona boss Koeman confirms club interest in Eric Garcia, but we know the situation is tough financially'

Barca has time until Monday to land the Man City centre-back.

"It's true we want Eric Garcia here. I've seen Pep's comments and that's how it is," Ronald Koeman said on Saturday.

"I hope we get it done but we know the situation is tough financially. There's interest, but don't know if we will get it over the line."

Garcia is out of contract next summer. Man City, however, want at least €20m for the centre-back - something the Catalans can't offer right now.

It is believed that Barcelona have to sell Jean-Clair Todibo first to fund the signing of the 19-year-old.
