Barcelona defender Jordi Alba joins group training with Clasico return on cards

The left-back suffered a hamstring injury almost 3 weeks ago.

Jordi Alba completed part of training with the group this Thursday, Barcelona has just confirmed.

It's the first time the veteran defender joined the group training since suffering a hamstring injury in the 1-1 Sevilla draw on October 4.

It remains to be seen whether the left-back receives the medical green light to play against Real Madrid on Saturday.

Yesterday, Madrid-based Diario AS ruled out Alba's return, claiming Barca were pessimistic about his potential comeback.
