Barcelona in talks with Philippe Coutinho over contract extension

With Pique, De Jong, Lenglet and Ter Stegen already signing new contracts, the club is looking to renew the deals of more players.

Barcelona are in negotiations to extend Philippe Coutinho's contract, ESPN report, with his current deal expiring in 2023.

The new contract is expected to include a salary adjustment as the club is struggling financially because of the pandemic-induced crisis.

This means that Coutinho has accepted the pay cut for the 2020/21 season but he will be remunerated in the latter years of his new contract.

Besides, the Catalans are also looking to extend the contracts of Sergio Busquets, Sergi Roberto and Antoine Griezmann, the same source adds.
