Modric sends message to Barcelona ahead of Madrid clash: 'El Clasico will be different'

Modric says that Real Madrid have not forgotten to play football.

The midfielder is sure that they will be up to Barca's level for this Saturday's Clasico.

"In the first half we were not up to the level of the competition, and in the second half, we improved but it was not enough. We have to improve, it is obvious," La Vanguardia quote Luka Modric saying after the 3-2 loss to Shakhtar Donetsk.

"It's good that El Clasico is coming. We have to trust our quality. We have not forgotten to how to play football. The Clasico will be different and for sure we will be up to the level of the game."

After going 1-0 down to Cadiz last weekend, Real Madrid have now lost two matches in a row. Barcelona are set to host Los Blancos on Saturday, October 24, at 4:00 pm CEST.
