Barcelona sporting director confirms Todibo departure

Barca's technical director has confirmed the interest from several European clubs in the centre-back.

"Todibo? There are several European clubs interested in him, he wants to play, and his departure is likely to be the best option for everyone," Barcelona technical director Ramon Planes said on Friday.

According to reports in Spain, Barcelona have reached an agreement with Fulham to sell Jean-Clair Todibo for €18m. The 20-year-old, however, is yet to accept the transfer as he doesn't fancy a move to the Premier League.

Everton have also recently been linked with the Frenchman.

The Catalans need to offload Todibo to fund the signing of Eric Garcia from Man City before the October 5 deadline.
