Barcelona to propose another pay cuts for employees and professional athletes

Back in May, RAC1 reported that the first-team players won't accept further pay cuts.

Barcelona are proposing a new round of pay cuts for club employees which will also apply to professional athletes, Esport3 report.

The board has 15 days to negotiate the new conditions, SER report, as the measures that have already been adopted to curb the COVID-19 impact haven't been enough.

The human resources department has already sent a letter to the captains of Barcelona B informing them about the reduction of salaries of professional athletes, COPE say.

Only yesterday the club reported a total debt of €488m.

As a reminder, the players of the first team underwent a pay cut in March, back when the pandemic was in its early stages.
