Barcelona youngster Ronald Araujo happy to be part of Uruguay squad

Araujo has been called up to the national team for the first time and the centre-back says he's 'very happy' to be with Uruguay's first team.

"It is a dream to be here in the first-team squad. In the past, I was called up for the U20 side a few times. Wearing my country's shirt is very nice, very beautiful, a pride," Diario Sport quote Ronald Araujo saying.

"Now I'm with the first team, with the great players, and given what the national team means for our country and all of us, the truth is I'm very, very happy."

After several impressive performances for Barcelona, Araujo was called up to represent his national side. He is yet to make his debut for Uruguay. The Celeste played Chile at home on October 8 and with Ecuador coming up away on October 12.
