Chelsea fans list 5 transfer they absolutely hated, like Mata to Manchester United

The Blues' supporters on Reddit have revealed their biggest transfer regrets.

Juan Mata to Manchester United

SlightCarpet: "I'll never be overselling Mata to those utter cunts."

dreamvoyager1: "The nicest player in recent memory, that has a place in every Chelsea fans hearts, joining the most hated team with the worst fucking fanbase really ducked me up."

Petr Cech to Arsenal

TradeGortat: "Cech to Arsenal and I know that it was his wish. Otherwise, that might be random but Meireles to Fenerbahce also broke my heart."

mrdrm1000: "Even if he doesn’t play, I’m glad he’ll be technically finishing his playing career back at Chelsea. Just seeing “2020- Chelsea” as the last club on his Wikipedia is satisfying to me for some reason."

Frank Lampard to Manchester City

Pandemona1738: "Lampard to City when he said was going to the USA. That was just was so sad watching him pump in goals for City still when we all thought he left for the USA."

Carpesdiems: "He fucking scored against us!"

Kevin De Bruyne to Wolfsburg

-heathcliffe-: "Kdb because I was so hyped about him, he was performing so well in Buli and I thought he would be the successor for Lampard. He arrived amongst a great crop of talent, he could have been the perfect playmaker, with Hazard as our superstar.

"Sadly Jose thought otherwise and opted for Oscar, even ahead of Mata (probably my second biggest regret), Oscar always worried me as I felt like he was above average at a lot of things, but not elite at anything in particular.

"He was good at looking busy, but he didn’t have great vision, wasn’t a long-range goal threat, and didn’t dictate the tempo. I know it wasn’t until after he left us, with that chip on his shoulder, that he really clicked and became elite, but I think with the right manager he could have done so as a pensioner, not a citizen."

Eden Hazard to Real Madrid

Lazy-meat: "Hazard to Madrid, I completely understood it from Hazards point of view though. Looking back with the injuries he’s had, under-par performances, our current team and the money we got for him - it wasn’t the worst thing to happen to the club. Saying that, I’d happily have him back."
