Freixa calls for withdrawal of no confidence vote amid good results from Barca

Freixa condemns Barca's management in recent years but says that stability is more important at the moment.

Meanwhile, over 10,000 signatures in the vote of no confidence have been validated.

"Given how we have started the season and due to the pandemic, I ask all the Catalans to unite for two ideas: the management of the club in recent years up to the 2-8 has been reprehensible, and now we need stability so the vote of no confidence should be withdrawn," presidential candidate Toni Freixa has tweeted.

For the record, it should be mentioned that Freixa is a close person to Josep Maria Bartomeu and was a part of his board.

Meanwhile, Barcelona have already validated 10,210 signatures in the vote of no confidence against the president. So far, only 565 signatures have been cancelled, while 411 are still in processing.

There are 9,495 signatures still to be counted, and only 6,311 of them need to be validated in order for the motion to go through.

As for the first team, they've had a good start under Ronald Koeman, beating Villarreal and Celta Vigo 4-0 and 3-0 respectively. Their next match is going to be a home encounter against Sevilla.
