'I cried about everything I was going through': Luis Suarez reacts to his final days at Barcelona

Suarez was shown the door after six years at Camp Nou last month.

He moved to Atletico Madrid on a free transfer as Barca reportedly needed to lighten their wage bill.

The 33-year-old says his final days at the Blaugrana were 'really complicated' because of how the club managed his exit.

"I spent six years in Barcelona and there were other ways to speak with me and tell me they'd planned changes," Luis Suarez said after scoring for Uruguay in the 2-1 win over Chile on Thursday, as quoted by Diario SPORT.

"Those days, Thursday to Sunday, until my debut with Atletico, were really complicated. I cried about everything I was going through.

"I didn't take the club message well because of how they did it, more than anything, because you have to accept when a cycle ends."

It's believed that Barcelona offloaded the 33-year-old as they needed to lighten their wage bill.

Suarez himself was ready to accept a substitute role under Ronald Koeman but as it appears the Catalans forced Luis out of the club due to financial reasons.
