Levante boss Paco Lopez hit at VAR for failing to review Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro's foul

Madrid battled to a 2-0 win against Levante on Sunday.

Casemiro was lucky to escape a second yellow after a challenge on Melero.

Speaking to the media after the game, Levante manager Paco Lopez said: "I'm not going to say anything about the referees. It's how it is when we play against this type of opponents and you've already seen it.

"What I don't know is why [the VAR] didn't review Casemiro's foul. It seems strange to me. But we were able to create chances. We could have deserved something more."

Real Madrid laboured to a 2-0 win away at Levante on Sunday with the Blancos going top of La Liga table with 10 points after 4 games.

Casemiro was fortunate to avoid a second yellow card after VAR opted not to review his challenge on Gonzalo Melero in the second half.
