Luis Enrique refuses to liken Barcelona youngster to Messi: 'Ansu Fati is Ansu Fati'

Luis Enrique encourages Fati to stay humble find his own path to glory.

The coach praises the Ansu for his game with and without the ball.

“Ansu Fati is the heir to Ansu Fati,” Luis Enrique has told the reporters when asked whether he sees the 17-year-old as the heir to Leo Messi.

“He has to look at himself, to be humble and keep working as he has been.

Being humble and working is the advice that his family and those of us with experience in football will give him.

“What you see are his most technical characteristics. Even though he’s small, he has a good header.

He interprets the game differently. With and without the ball, he knows his responsibilities for the collective.”

Fati has been once again summoned to represent the Spanish national team alongside his Barcelona teammates Sergio Busquets and Sergi Roberto.

So far, the La Masia graduate has managed one goal in two appearances for La Roja.
