Man Utd Outcast Sergio Romero To Quit In January
Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero could reportedly quit before the end of his Old Trafford contract.
Romero is now seen as United’s fourth-choice goalkeeper, having been back-up to David de Gea – a position Dean Henderson has taken.
The Argentine’s deal at the Premier League giants expires at the end of the season with thoughts that he may leave in January.
Though El Intransigente report that Romero could say enough is enough and ‘rescind’ his deal during the season.
The shot-stopper has not featured for United since their Europa League quarter-final win over Copenhagen in August.
Romero is believed to earn £100,000 per week at Old Trafford with his wife, Eliana Guercio, criticising United for their treatment.
The 33-year-old will not be involved for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side at all in the first half of the season with Lee Grant named ahead of him as third-choice.
United continue their campaign on Sunday as they welcome Arsenal to Old Trafford in the Premier League.
