Real Madrid attacker Vinicius reveals key factor behind brilliant start to the season

The Brazilian winger has scored in successive games to help Madrid get back-to-back wins in La Liga.

He says he’s a lot happier right now than he was at the start of last season and playing with more confidence.

Speaking about why his start to this season for Real Madrid has been so much better than what he did in the last campaign, Vinicius Jr said on his Youtube Channel (quotes via Marca): “Last season I started without confidence, after a long time without playing due to injury.

“Now I'm happy to be playing more games and to score. I've got more confidence, playing football is always important.”

Vinicius has also created a strong bond with manager Zinedine Zidane, who is making him more confident about his game. The Brazilian winger has been in splendid form since the start of the season, scoring in both wins against Real Valladolid and Levante recently.

After being benched for the Champions League clash against Man City last season, it seems Vinicius is determined to win a regular spot in the team and ensure that Eden Hazard’s presence isn’t missed.
