Real Madrid midfielder Odegaard reveals his preferred position: 'I'll play where Zidane wants'

The 21-year-old believes he can play in different systems. He also opened up about his versatile nature of play.

When asked about his preferred position, Martin Odegaard told Norwegian media, as quoted by Marca: "We actually haven't spoken much about my position.

"I can play in various different roles, whether in the middle of the park or more as a No.10 - where I played when there were two strikers. I can play in different systems.

"I'll play where Zidane wants and, if I get the opportunity, it matters very little to me where I play."

It's great to see such an attitude from the young Real Madrid star. He excelled on loan at Real Sociedad last season and even spoke of how the Whites called him back early.

Since returning, Odegaard has featured for us in the La Liga. However, reports have indicated that he's still far from replacing Luka Modric, 35, in the starting XI. Of course, it doesn't help that the Croatian is still operating at a high level for Los Blancos.
