'We've never thought of resigning': Barcelona Vice President Cardoner unfazed by vote of no confidence

Jordi Cardoner insists the board is more united than ever despite the looming possibility of quitting.

On the potential referendum, the vice-president concedes the health guarantees may not allow it to happen.

"We are more united than ever. Yes, there are 16,000 signatures, but there are also 90,000 people who haven't signed," Barcelona vice-president Jordi Cardoner has just claimed, as quoted by El Chiringuito.

It's the first time a Barcelona official has faced the media as the vote of no confidence against the board have reached the required number of signatures.

Cardoner added on this matter: "We have never thought of resigning."

The club is expected to call a referendum within October but Cardoner didn't confirm it, only saying: "I cannot say for certain that there will be a referendum. It will depend on health guarantees."
