Aubameyang And Xhaka React To Pepe’s Apology After Ezgjan Alioski Headbutt

Aubameyang And Xhaka React Pepe's Apology

Nicolas Pepe issued an apology for his red card against Leeds following a VAR review, after moving his head towards Ezgjan Alioski during their off-the-ball altercation.

Although Arsenal had chances to win the game, Mikel Arteta was furious with Pepe for his actions and made it clear that more was expected of him, labelling the incident “unacceptable”.

Pepe is now set to miss three matches through, which includes the crunch north London derby with Tottenham.

The former Lille man has issued a heartfelt apology on Instagram, after reflecting on the incident.

It appears his apology has been accepted by several Arsenal players, who liked the post in support of Pepe.

Those include Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Hector Bellerin, Granit Xhaka, Dani Ceballos and William Saliba.

Swiss midfielder Xhaka went one better though, and left a comment to boost the morale of Pepe.

He said: “Keep going brother. You come back stronger. WE ARE WITH YOU.”
