Bruno Fernandes: 'Every player wants a hat-trick but I told Rashy he will take the next penalty'

The United star wants Rashford to maintain his confidence in front of the goal. Bruno adds that if the team scores, it's as good as him getting a goal.

Speaking to BT Sport after Man United's 4-1 demolition of Istanbul Basaksehir, Bruno Fernandes explained: "Every player wants to do a hat-trick but after the game in the Premier League, I told Rashy, the next one you will take. And so I remember that.

"He is one of the top scorers in the Champions League. I think it will be important for him to keep going there and taking that confidence.

"Doesn't matter who takes the penalties - most important is scoring so when the team scores, I score too."

Despite being on course to netting a hat-trick, Bruno gave up the chance to score from the spot to Marcus Rashford, who happily got us our third goal of the game.
