'Changes were necessary, every year we were getting a little worse': Barcelona defender Pique

Pique believes that the current season is going to be a tough one for Barcelona.

The defender says that such a big club like Barca can't afford to have a transition year.

"The club is going through a lot of changes. I think it was necessary because the trend was decreasing. Every year we were getting a little worse. We know it's not going to be an easy year but we will try to compete in every game," Gerard Pique said after the Dynamo Kyiv clash.

"At a club like this there is no transition year. We have little time, [we are] waiting for things to go a little better."

Barcelona have had a slow start of the season. In La Liga, the Catalans have registered two wins, two losses and two draws. In the Champions League, meanwhile, Barca are doing way better, winning all of their three matches so far.
