Chelsea will soon start talks with Kurt Zouma over a contract extension, according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano.
The 26-year-old has become one of the most regular starters in the 2020/21 season and formed a solid centre-back partnership with Thiago Silva.
As per the source, Frank Lampard sees Zouma as a leader for the long-term future of the club.
The player himself is also happy at Chelsea and would most certainly be interested in signing a new deal.
This season, Zouma has turned into an unlikely offensive threat for Chelsea as well, scoring 3 goals in the Premier League.
His current contract expires in June 2023 - plenty of time to come to an agreement.
