Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani received a direct red card for a tackle on Brazil and Everton striker Richarlison, as Uruguay lost 0-2 in the World Cup Qualifiers.
The 23-year-old was trying to get away with the ball and Cavani attempted a challenge - only to hit his opponent's shin with his studs.
A quick consultation with VAR revealed that the Man United star was at fault.
Uruguay is currently fifth in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying table after five matches. They need to finish in the top four to secure automatic qualification for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
