Haaland father admits Juventus move was close when player was at Molde

The father of Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has confirmed a move to Juventus was close while he was with Molde.

Juve were keen on a teenage Haaland before he moved to RB Salzburg.

“It's all true" Dad Alfie Haaland told Tuttosport.

“He could have left Norway in January 2018 and moved to Turin, but with my son we decided that at that stage of his career it would have been better to grow gradually. Salzburg was the right choice for his professional career, which then led him to Borussia Dortmund."
