'I had a word with Jorginh ' : Lampard on Timo Werner penalties

Following Chelsea's win over French side, Rennes in the Champions League third group stage match Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has hail Jorginho reaction as the midfielder handed the penalty over to striker Timo Werner who dispatched it with ease.

The Blues cruise past Rennes 3-0 in an emphatic display in Stamford bridge putting right at the top of the group E with seven (7) points with the german striker scoring twice from the spot and fellow striker Abraham wrapping things up.

"I think we deserved that," Frank Lampard told BT Sport on the 3-0 win over Rennes.

"The red card and penalty to 2-0 make it easier. We kept the ball moving early in the second half, there were professional elements to our performance today. They were tough opposition and we won pretty well.

"It was not an easy decision (on penalty taker) because Jorginho has been pretty faultless. He had missed two recently and Timo came in and scored. I had a word with Jorghino and his answer was perfect, he said he didn't mind who came in to take them he just wanted to score. Timo came in and scored so I am happy.

"I am pleased I got some players to rest and pleased for some to get minutes. It ticked a lot of boxes for us."

With this win, Chelsea now have one foot in the Round of 16
