Lampard Vows To End Ross Barkley Loan Transfer To Aston Villa Immediately

Ross Barkley Loan Transfer To Aston Villa

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has revealed he will block Aston Villa’s attempt to sign Ross Barkley on a permanent deal.

The Blues manager, 42, is understood to have been impressed with the midfielder’s form on loan at Villa Park this season.

According to 90min, the Stamford Bridge boss sees a role for Barkley next term at Chelsea.

Barkley, 26, who has clocked up three goals and one assist in nine appearances across all competitions, could be given the chance to resurrect his career in Lampard’s team.

And the England ace’s midfield who suffered an injury during Villa’s loss to Brighton, also has a contract with the club that runs until 2023.

And with the summer arrivals of Kai Havertz and Hakim Zayech, first team starts for the Three Lions midfielder looked like they could potentially be limited.

However, should Barkley’s solid performances for Aston Villa continue, it is thought Chelsea will be keen to retain the player’s services.
