The Mexican Hall of Fame – also recognized as the most popular Hall of Fame in the world – chooses 4 retired International footballers each year to be placed into it.
Former Madrid defender Fabio Cannavaro has also entered the prestigious class alongside legendary Brazilian star Didi.
There is still no fixed date on when the Hall of Fame ceremony will take place due to the Covid-19 situation.
Some other players already in the Hall of Fame include Alfredo Di Stefano, Diego Maradona and Johan Cruyff.
