Sergio Ramos: I'll play for Spain as long as my body and head allow

The Madrid captain won't hang up his boots anytime soon.

He also backs Spain to beat "one of the favourites" Germany in the next game.

As quoted by Marca, Sergio Ramos said in an interview: "[I'll play] until the day my physique and head stop supporting me. As long as I continue to have the desire then I'll keep on coming."

Acknowledging the upcoming UEFA Nations League game against Germany, the Real Madrid star added: "We're relying on ourselves.

"We have to win against one of the favourites. It's a unique opportunity to show what we can do and where we want to go."

Questions remain over Ramos' future with Los Blancos, with his contract expiring next year. The Spaniard also cancelled his pre-match press conference on Monday to avoid any controversial statements.

However, it's great to see the 34-year-old's commitment and dedication to the beautiful game. Madrid fans certainly wouldn't like to see our favourite El Capitano retiring anytime soon.
