Solskjaer Gets Perfect Opportunity To Start Cavani Against West Brom

Solskjaer Start Cavani Against West Brom

Edinson Cavani could be set for a full debut with Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer facing a growing injury list upfront.

Solskjaer could be without Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood when the Red Devils return to Premier League action against West Brom on Saturday.

The Uruguay international has made three appearances in the Premier League and two in the Champions League since his deadline day move to Old Trafford- each time coming on as a substitute.

He scored his first goal for United after replacing Martial at Goodison Park.

And it may just have earned the 33-year-old first United start as Solskjaer grapples with selection issues ahead of the weekend.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils could have Alex Telles available for Saturday following another coronavirus scare.

Telles has played just once for United since his deadline-day move, having missed the last five games after contracting coronavirus.

Reports from Brazil over the weekend claimed he had tested positive again – but he was cleared for action in his country’s World Cup qualifying win over Uruguay on Tuesday.
