Solskjaer reveals when Shaw can be expected to return

Speaking about when Luke Shaw can be expected to return, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “I hope nearer to four, but with any occurrence of hamstring injuries you can’t risk anything and he’s still not near training with us.

“We’ll see how he reacts to the progress and the rehab work. Hopefully nearer four, but more probably closer to five or six.”

Shaw picked up a nasty hamstring injury in Man United’s win over Everton before the International break, something Solskjaer was not happy about. It seems like Luke will be back during the Christmas period if his recovery goes well.

For now, however, Alex Telles looks to be a more than able alternative and he proved that with his solid performance against West Brom. The Brazilian left-back should feature heavily in the weeks ahead and will have to impress the boss to keep his place even after Shaw’s return from injury.
