Abramovich Set To Part Ways With Lampard And Appoint Thomas Tuchel

Abramovich Appoint Thomas Tuchel

Roman Abramovich will apparently consider firing Frank Lampard and make a move for Thomas Tuchel if Chelsea lose against Aston Villa this evening (Monday).

The German boss was dismissed on Christmas eve –  making him free to negotiate with a new club.

He has been linked with Arsenal in the past, but it now appears he could be headed elsewhere in London.

Chelsea’s spluttering start to the season continued on Boxing Day as they were beaten 3-1 by Arsenal at the Emirates.

According to German outlet BILD, another defeat for Chelsea could see Abramovich part ways with Lampard.

The club legend was backed significantly in the summer transfer window with a £250m spending spree.

Timo Werner and Kai Havertz in particular – who cost a combined £130m – have been criticised for their poor performances.

But the two German playmakers are apparently part of the reason for Tuchel’s interest in taking over at Chelsea.

BILD claims the interest in Tuchel taking over at Chelsea is mutual between the two parties.
