Barcelona presidential candidate Font confirms Xavi will join Barca immediately if he's elected

Font reveals that Xavi has a clause in his contract with Al-Sadd that would allow him to join Barca if he receives an offer.

The former Blaugrana midfielder is a central figure in Font's sporting project.

"Xavi has a clause in his contract which would allow him to leave his current club for Barcelona if he receives an offer. So, therefore, technically, this could be possible [for him to join Barca right away if I'm elected]," Victor Font has said during an online meeting with the fans.

As a reminder, Xavi is the central figure in Font's sporting project. The presidential candidate wants to appoint the Blaugrana legend either as the first-team coach or general manager.

Xavi is currently working at Al-Sadd in Qatar. His current contract with the club runs until 2021.
